Second lockdown – what does it mean for housing?

A second ‘lockdown’ with national restrictions for England comes into force this Thursday 5 November. Government have confirmed that the housing market in England will stay open. Read the National Restrictions (as of  Thursday 5 November)

What it means

  • Renters & homeowners will be able to move
  • Removal firms and estate and lettings agents can operate
  • Viewings and valuations of residential properties to buy and rent can continue through the national lockdown period
  • Tradespeople will be able to enter homes

We are still waiting to see if agency offices will have to physically close from Thursday, and we will update you as soon as this information is available.
