Following the tragic death of 2-year-old Awaab Ishak in 2020 and the subsequent Coroner’s report, the Government has drawn up new consolidated guidance for agents and landlords on damp and mould. It makes sure that social and private sector agents and landlords have a thorough understanding of their legal responsibilities and of the serious health risks that damp and mould pose.
