Letting Agent Fee Ban Consultation launched in Wales

21st July 2017

The Welsh Government has launched its consultation on banning fees to tenants. The consultation seeks views on the nature and level of fees being charged to tenants to determine which fees, if any, are justifiably being charged.

Isobel Thomson, NALS Chief Executive, said:

“We will engage with the Welsh Government to ensure that they understand the consequences of a ban and the consumer detriment that could arise. We will engage with our agents and ensure that they too make their views known by responding to the consultation individually.”

The deadline for comments is 27 September 2017.
