From 1 September 2022, landlords will be required to have a licence for all privately rented homes in Oxford. The new citywide selective licensing scheme will replace the existing arrangements in Oxford which only require a licence for houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).
The Council has now published details of the scheme and the fees and discounts available here
safeagents who hold the safeagent Level 3 award in letting and property management will qualify for a discount on licensing fees. Oxford City Council requires one trained person per firm who can evidence the award for the discount to apply.
Our Award is fully online so agents can access it at a time to suit them and their businesses. The average number of hours for completion of the Award is 60 hours and the cost is £300 + VAT for safeagent learners.
Once the course has been completed, agents can also use the term “safeagent qualified” to highlight their knowledge and professionalism as well as gaining the Council’s licensing scheme discount.
Find out more about the Award on our virtual learning environment here.
