NALS announces it has gained recognition as an approved accreditation provider for firms seeking to gain the London Rental Standard (LRS) badge and will be encouraging its firms to sign up.
The London Rental Standard (LRS) is a voluntary set of minimum standards that the Mayor expects from lettings and management agents as well as landlords who operate in London’s private rented sector. The aim of the London Rental Standard is to raise professional standards in the capital’s private rented sector by providing a consistent standard of accreditation to consumers and a vehicle for increasing the number of accredited landlords and agents.
NALS Chief Executive, Isobel Thomson said:
NALS, as a consumer facing organisation for lettings and management agents, welcomes the establishment of the LRS as a further means by which landlords and tenants can have confidence in using an accredited agent or landlord. It is an excellent initiative and fits in with NALS ethos. We will be promoting it to our London based firms and encouraging them to get involved.
