Agents play an important role between tenants and landlords. During the COVID-19 outbreak, their role has been particularly important in supporting tenants who may be struggling to pay their rent, while also keeping landlords updated on their tenants’ financial position. As the latest guidance is changing so rapidly, a letting agent will be best placed to provide expert advice on the latest rules and how they are being implemented. Support for landlords
Government have agreed with lenders that they will ensure support is available where it is needed for landlords. Landlords will also be protected by a three month mortgage payment holiday where they have a Buy-to-Let mortgage.
